The Trevi fountain..I pleaded with my wife Rhianydd to jump in and do the Anita Ekberg thing but to no avail..She kept muttering “minus 4-minus 4” and complained that she was wearing a ski jacket, bobble hat and jeans as opposed to a cocktail dress, but I still think she could have made the effort…One has to suffer for ones art.
These were shot at F29 at just over a second so I managed to get a slight water blur.

excellent photos! I was at the Trevi a few months ago, and couldn’t take a good shot given the turistas! (Well, i was one of them too). I love these images.

Thanks Marina……thats another good thing about tripods….You can use them as an anti-tourist weapon.

haha! It would help to have a Vespa or Fiat to whizz around on in Rome, to carry the equipment (and escape those crowds) 🙂

I read somewhere only recently that they had to keep fishing Anita Ekberg out, wrapping her in towels, swapping the dress and pumping booze into her….But when you look at the finished sequence it’s absolutely magical….Cinema!! Yippeeee!!
