Its another antidote post….By which I mean I’ve looked back over the last few of my posts and realised they’re all a bit on the dark side….Dark in a colourful kinda way I’ll grant you, but dark nonetheless…They’re all a bit decayed…A bit grim…A bit moribund..A bit ‘On the verge of collapse’….Oooooh I’m shuddering just thinking about it.

Well its not bloody good enough!

It’s nearly spring for chrissake!

So I have chucked caution, (and what I was actually planning to do) to the wind, and visited a local beauty spot, (the back garden of SHPics Mansions) to find some colour of a happier variety, and it’s true…spring has nearly sprung..The grass is growing, the Forsythia is budding (pics in a fortnight I reckon), and the gorgeous Autumn Cherry above, (which never seems to have a clue what month it is), is in bloom..

This shot makes me happy…. (not deliriously happy, I’m not a nutter)… but it just lifts my spirits a little.

I hope it has the same effect on you.

If it doesnt (phew, tough audience), how about the one below? Another great excuse for a cracker joke.

Why did the Chicken cross the road?

Because he had seen his friend the Zebra crossing!

I took this in Ho Chi Minh City last year and had completely forgotten it…

SHPics Mansions seem to have a bit of a micro-climate thingymubob…The Cherry’s been in (partial) blossom since early January!!! Weird…..When we planted it, we were told it flowered in September/October so I think it simply does its own thing……and as Hellen says your snow shots are pretty damn good so not to worry..You’ll have blossom soon enough!

ahhh, what a joke about the rooster and the zebra. Did you make that up? 😉 I love the cherry blossom shot as well as the one in Ho Chi Minh – both so different and definitely a good dose of colour.
