I’m inclined to think that this was just a chance meeting…A one in a million kinda thing. Dracula just happened to be fluttering by, when suddenly, there was Smiley…..And BOOM!

From that moment on everything had changed.

Life…(sorry death)… took on a whole new meaning. For the first time, Drac was IN LOVE!

For Chrissake!! Smiley hasn’t even got a neck!

I took this in the Medina of downtown Almeria. Steep streets and peeling paint in all of the vibrant colours of Northern Africa. My destination, the Moorish Alcazaba, was high overhead, but for almost every step of the way there were photos screaming out to be taken.

Between you and me dear reader, it looked a damn sight better than it smelled, but, with half a dozen lens cleaning tissues jammed up my snitch I was soon able to cope.

The guy with the spray-can asked me if I was happy….

Yes I was happy!
