YOU’LL GIVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE….DON’T SQUINT AT THESE TINY LITTLE PICS JUST GIVE THEM A CLICK AND VOILA! THEY OPEN UP BIGGER AND BETTER.
Eye Candy was a festival of visual pop culture that happened in Birmingham between October and November this year…
I’ve already posted a few images but wanted to post the rest while it was all still relatively fresh.
There’s a link below to a tumblr page with some more information and a cool little video showing some of the pieces being produced.

These are delightful. Seeing them all over the city must be brilliant! 🙂

Certainly adds some colour…..Birmingham was the first 50 shades of grey….

Fantastic! And I like the decayed building where the second image appeared…

At the moment that is just a facade…The back has been removed for some planned redevelopment that keeps the look of the original frontages…We shall see…
warden from hell
it always makes me wonder if graffiti artists/street etc in most peoples eyes are rough delinquents with a spray can,how on earth can they afford the paint and do all this with nobody taking any notice.
i wish they would come and do some in the games room on site it would be a lot brighter.

I think times are a changin’…Some of this was funded and well reported within official Town websites…
Don’t tell me Warden from hell is another alias!!!

I love the posters, the use of solid blocks of colours mixed with the facial figures really pops to the viewer! Must’ve been a wonderful addition to the city

The posters really worked for me too….
Glad you like them.

Great name for a festival. I like the second image of the lady with roses… her hair is a pretty purple colour and she is so nicely framed too. 🙂

Her hair IS a great colour but I bet she has a limited wardrobe because of it… 🙂

Great juxtaposition of bright, clean color and old, textured buildings. From a user point of view, is it possible for you to show your large format shots linked together in a slideshow? Like when I open one up in a bigger, better window, can I go to the other shots from there instead of going back and forth from blog to big?

No…Afraid not..which is a bit of a bummer…
One of the problems with wordpress is lack of real customization.
You’ll have to keep clickin’…Sorry Scillster.
