BIG TENTS ARE MORE INTENSE THAN TEENY TENTS….CLICK’EM YA MUPPET!

Sorry!…I’m having a rude day!

I promised you a look at Khola beach didn’t I? Course I did, so here we go…

A steep path takes you down through the palms to where the tents are dotted around willy nilly…. and lets be honest if you insist on tent dotting it’s best to stick to willy nilly…other techniques pale in comparison.

Now when I say tents I don’t want you to get the wrong idea……We’re not talking two sticks and a bit of nylon…..These are big enough for a scout/guide orgy of epic proportions, and, should you tire of looking at that, you could always examine the antique Rajasthani furniture with which they are be-decked…(small note, there was no scout/guide activity during our stay so probably best to book ahead if that’s your thing).

Still, enough advertising…I reckon it’s the beach you’re more interested in, so how about a bit of dawn and dusk Khola style ?

Dawn from South to North..

Dawn shot up at the North end…

Dusk from North to South..

Dusk from South to North..

Bit too much directional information there I reckon…Who really gives a monkeys?

That tent has a better bed than I do. What happened to the lumpy bed roll? God, these pictures are distracting. It’s -7 degrees Fahrenheit here. Drove to work to find that the museum was closed due to “inclement weather”. I would love to trade that for some inclement palm trees, likely to drop coconuts unmercifully…

The amenities rival the luxury at the Subod!

Those beach photos are amazing! It’s 27° F here with snow on the ground and it’s painful to look at these.

Admittedly, falling asleep to the sound of the waves is easier than to the sound of cockroaches having a knees up under the bed…But the Subod still holds a special place in my heart.

And I do know what you mean…I’ve just woken to 2 degrees C and a hailstorm.
