A really interesting picture for your Birthday, In some ways it is hard to look at because of the eyes yet the cool tone makes me want to investigate more.
Happy birthday.
Thanks Ben π
It is quite an uncomfortable image isn’t it?
In retrospect I see something a bit robotic about it……….
Funny how sometimes your impressions of an image can change.
Yikes, Stuart…but first let me wish you Happy Birthday… It’s the eyes in that image. I just don’t do creepy eyes, or eyes in any way abnormal….the blind lady In Nic Rooeg’s Don’t Look Now gave me the abdabs, and that was way before the denouement……
I still have the occasional nightmare featuring that film……
Now if I’d worn a little red mackintosh as well, that really would have freaked you out!!!
π
Joyeux Annive….. hang on a minute – may I refer you to my previous comment…. Hope you have a spiffing day sh and that the eyes get better soon π π
Unfortunately, I think the greying of hair is just a matter of the age. Maybe you should not blame the poor university. My own, instead of turning grey, are simply dropping out π
You’re probably right…It’s greyer today than yesterday and I haven’t even been to Uni….Oh dear!
You may well be the best off of the two of us Nannus …No hair can look both fashionable and youthful…White hair simply looks ancient!!

‘those the new google glasses? grafted permanently?
π
Oh show me the way to the next whisky bar,
No don’t ask why, Oh don’t ask why……
For if we can’t find the next whisky bar,
I tell you we must die…..
I tell you,
I tell you,
I tell you we must die……
I do like a nice obscure reference… π

I have found those obscure references to work amazingly well. I heard the doors for the first time at a party in 1970 in Ethiopia. A long “ways” away. Yet through blogging I have found that many, many people share the same memories all over the globe, from India to Africa, to Europe. And a simple phrase like that can be recognized anywhere. Thank you for completing the reference and let’s hear it for Morrison and Manzarek! π
I’ve not heard the Doors version for eons..(all of my Doors records are on cassette, how old am I?) haha…. But I played the Bowie version only a few nights before your post….My first experience of the song was in Berlin, a few years before the wall came down, when it was sung by an MC in a Kudamm cabaret club, half in German half in English English…..Magical!
Hi Ashley… Excellent, I’ll pop in for a peek.
Currently in midst of end of semester hand ins… Major stress levels haha, but enjoying it still.. I’ll be posting some work as soon as it’s all in.
Hope all is ticketyboo with you
